Rex Hotel dates from 1866, just a block away from Sveavagen, right in the middle of Stockholm. The atmosphere of the 19th century is still to be witnessed in the old, brick-vaults in the basement and in the staircase. Otherwise it is only the broad pine tree planks on the wooden floor that reveals the building's old age.
